At BHI Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, we understand that our customers have been affected by the shortage of supplies in our area. Many have had a hard time finding daily necessities like toilet paper during this temporary shortage.

If any of our residential customers need a few rolls of toilet paper, please feel free to come by our San Bernardino office. We have a limited supply that we are happy to share with our customer base. (Please, only if you are in true need of it)

“We prefer that our customers use toilet paper instead of other supplies not meant to be flushed. Items that are not intended for toilets can cause plumbing problems in the drains and sewer pipes,” explains Bryan Henley, President of BHI Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning.

Please call us at (909) 883-8827 if you need toilet paper. Again, these complementary rolls will not last, and we have a limited supply.

Helpful Tips during the Covid-19 Outbreak

  • Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects daily (e.g., tables, countertops, light switches, doorknobs, and cabinet handles) using regular household detergent and water.

  • If surfaces are dirty, they should be cleaned using a detergent and water before disinfection. For disinfection, a list of products with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-approved emerging viral pathogens claims, maintained by the American Chemistry Council Center for Biocide Chemistries (CBC), is available at Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Fighting Products. https://www.americanchemistry.com/Novel-Coronavirus-Fighting-Products-List.pdf

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.

  • Choose a room in your home that can be used to separate sick household members from those who are healthy. Identify a separate bathroom for the sick person to use, if possible. Plan to clean these rooms, as needed, when someone is sick.

  • For soft (porous) surfaces such as carpeted floor, rugs, and drapes, remove visible contamination if present and clean with appropriate cleaners indicated for use on these surfaces.

  • Launder items as appropriate in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. If possible, launder items using the warmest appropriate water setting for the items and dry items completely.

  • Don’t flush the following items down your toilets; baby wipes, wet wipes, cleaning pads, dental floss, Q-tips, or paper towels.

No Water Bottle? Two Options for Cleaner Water.

Reverse Osmosis – RO uses a membrane that filters out minuscule particulate matter from the water. Tiny holes in the membrane only permit H2O to pass through. The process exerts pressure on the water while forcing it through the holes, which removes the majority of the contaminants efficiently. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) states that using a reverse osmosis system removes lead from water. Lead has extremely detrimental effects on the body and has been directly linked to infertility, nerve damage, brain damage, severe anemia, and high blood pressure.

Water Filtration System – Many people don’t like the taste of their tap water, and that’s why purchasing water bottles are so popular nowadays. Water from your tap may not be pure, despite passing through a water treatment facility. It is because it is easy for water to pick up contaminants after it has left the water treatment facility. Filtering your water removes bacteria, heavy metals, and chemicals from the water. BHI Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning frequently install water filtration systems for customers that want cleaner better-tasting water.

Want Cleaner Air in Your Home? HVAC UV Lights Can Help.

HVAC UV Lights – Ultraviolet lights have been widely adapted for all kinds of uses: sterilizing hospitals, sterilizing water, and germicidal lamps in food establishments. HVAC UV lights are very effective at controlling mold inside the air handler. All mold in line-of-sight of the UV bulb will be killed, keeping the coil mold-free. Two studies point to the effectiveness of UV light in killing mold and bacteria.
